... in movement there is life, and in change there is power. -Alan Cohen |
I have the best job I can imagine. I get to spend my days with people during their most brilliant, most beautiful, most open, and most receptive moments.
I have extensive experience in addiction recovery,
codependency, 12-step programs, and all forms of dependency. Additionally, I am versed in issues faced
by people with developmental disabilities and their family members. I have
sought out special training in issues confronted by the LGBTIQ
community. My other
areas of emphasis include anxiety, depression, communication skills,
couples counseling,
family therapy, parenting/step-parenting/blended families, life
transitions, self-esteem/personal
growth and stress management.
I
earned a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. I received training at the JFK University Community Counseling Center in Sunnyvale and Family Service Agency of the Central Coast in Santa
Cruz. I was the 2010 president of the Santa Cruz Chapter of the California Association of Marriage
and Family Therapists (SC-CAMFT), and currently, in 2011, hold the position of past-president.
